From 2014 to 2024, out BCH employees contributed an incredible $279,268 through our annual Employee Giving Campaign. This achievement represents a remarkable legacy built by our incredible BCH Community. Not only do we work tirelessly to serve our community, but we also give generously to support those around us and strengthen our hospital. Contributions ensure that we can continue providing exceptional care in Southeast Nebraska.
Campaign Focus for 2025
In 2025, we are excited to focus on three key funds that support the BCH community.
- Greatest Need Fund: Supports healthcare grant requests from BCH departments and community organizations working to improve health in our area.
- Employee Crisis Fund: Provides financial assistance to BCH staff during times of unforeseen personal hardship.
- Patient Hardship Fund: Assists BCH patients with expenses when an unplanned medical emergency causes significant financial burden.
How You Can Give
The Employee Giving Campaign allows each member of the BCH family - over 500 employees- to help support the hospital's mission. Your donations enhance the opportunities for employees, patients, and families.

Your Contributions Make a Difference
Greatest Need Fund: Did you know that donations to the Greatest Need Fund play a crucial role in supporting the grants we offer each Fall? In 2024, the foundation awarded $219,449 in grants to 11 different BCH Departments and Clinics, and $73,660 to Gage County Community Nonprofits. These grants are possible thanks to the generosity of our employee donors.
Patient Hardship Fund: In 2024, a patient came to BCH who was living in his car. His doctor's orders required him to keep his legs elevated - an almost impossible task while living in a car. With the help of the Patient Hardship Fund, we were provide him with a two-night stay at a local hotel, offering him a place to shower, rest, and properly elevate his legs during his treatment.
