2025 Centurian Cup Golf Tournament Recap
The 2025 Centurian Cup was a success on May 2, 2025, as the Beatrice Community Hospital Foundation hosted our annual golf tournament this year supporting the Same Day Surgery Department. Thanks to the dedication of participating teams and generous supporters, the event made a meaningful impact and highlighted the community’s strong commitment to local healthcare.
This year’s fundraiser focused on replacing the final three stretchers in the department. Our current stretchers, now 18 years old, are showing significant wear, including brake malfunctions, hydraulic oil leaks, and faulty bed controls. These issues affect both patient safety and comfort. The new stretchers will offer several key upgrades, including:
- Improved comfort for paitents with higher BMIs with new curved side rails
- Enhanced staff workflow with repositioned poles at the head of the bed
- Updated emergency bed controls that allow rapid adjustments without disabling other functions
