The Power of Play is more than a fundraising campaign. It is an invitation to help create a place where children can heal, grow, and thrive. Every gift helps build a therapeutic play area designed to support pediatric rehabilitation and behavioral health patients through purposeful play.
Our Why
For most children, a playground is a place for fun. For the children receiving therapy at Beatrice Community Hospital, it can be much more.
It can be a place where a first independent step is celebrated. Where climbing a ladder strengthens muscles after an injury. Where swinging helps calm an anxious mind. Where games become opportunities to improve communication, coordination, and confidence.
Our vision is to create a therapeutic play area where play is intentionally designed to support healing. Every features, from climbing structures and sensory elements to quiet spaces and accessible equipment, will help children build skills while simply being kids.
