Dick & Jackie Hovendick Family Legacy Award
Purpose:
The Beatrice Community Hospital Foundation aims to recognize the support and commitment from individuals, organizations, families, etc. to its mission of enhancing patient-and-family-centered healthcare services provided by the Beatrice Community Hospital (BCH) and its associated entities.
Criteria for Selection:
The recipient may be an individual, family, or organization.
The recipient has shown a generous devotion to the advancement of the local community by offering their time, talents, and resources, particularly for the advancement of healthcare and the services provided at BCH.
The recipient has advocated for the importance of community involvement and for the progression of healthcare in the region.
The recipient has participated in events, projects, or campaigns sponsored by the BCH Foundation.
The recipient portrays the values o BCH (excellence, compassion, and ethics), and demonstrates leadership and commitment to the health and well-being of the community and others.
The recipient cannot nominate themselves and must not have already received the Legacy Award.
Selection Process:
The Legacy Award Committee shall include a minimum of three members of the BCH Foundation Board of Directors, one representative from BCH, and any other members of the community as deemed necessary by the BCH Foundation Board of Directors. The Senior Executive for the BCH Foundation will act as the facilitator for the selection process bit will abstain from voting. Each year the Legacy Award Committee will recommend to the BCH Foundation Board of Directors a worthy recipient(s) of the award and the Board will vote for one recipient each year.
Selection Timeline:
Applications for the Dick & Jackie Hovendick Family Legacy Award will be accepted beginning October 1 until December 31.
Presentation:
The award will be presented each year at the annual Centurian Dinner. Both the Board President and Senior Executive for the Foundation will present the award to the recipient, who will receive a memorable plaque and recognition on the BCH Foundation website, social media, and designated space in the Hospital.
