HOSPICE DONATION

When Louise Frederick passed away in April 2019, a variety of Gage County organizations were named in her estate. Louise grew up in Garfield County, NE, and received a bachelor and master's degree from the University of Nebraska. She was a member of the Unitarian Church, Beatrice Area Retired Personnel, Federated Women's Club and the Beatrice Art Guild. Louise was a very talented artist and displayed paintings in several Beatrice facilities and sold paintings at art shows. She volunteered her time at the Beatrice Humane Society as well as the Beatrice Public Library.

Louise, who taught in the Gage County District for 29 years, was able to leave a legacy of giving after she passed, naming the Beatrice Community Hospital Hospice Department as one of the beneficiaries in her will. Her gift allowed a much needed purchase of a vehicle to allow Hospice nurses and staff to safely and reliably visit patients in home. Thanks to her hard work and dedication to the community, Louise has left a long lasting mark on the place she called home.

 How it Works

• Name the BCH Foundation in your will, codicil to your will, living trust or as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, life insurance policy or donor-advised fund
• Designate your gift for a particular purpose that is important to you, or allow us to use the gift where the need is greatest at the time it matures
• Indicate a set amount, a percentage or the remaining balance to benefit our mission

• You can modify your gift at any time to address changing circumstances
• You can direct your gift to a particular purpose (be sure to check with us to make sure your gift can be used as intended)
• Under current federal tax law there is no upper limit on the estate tax deduction for your charitable gifts
