BCH Foundation Recognized

The BCH Foundation was named “2018 Non-Profit of the Year” during the Beatrice Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Luncheon on September 21. The award seeks to recognize those organizations who have made a positive difference in the community. Other nominees were Leigh F. Coffin, Jane M. Coffin and Leigh M. Coffin Foundation, Gage County United Way, Mother to Mother-Burwood Books and Homestead Conservation and Trails Association.

The Foundation was nominated by local resident, Roger Aden. Roger’s late wife, Jane, managed the gift shop at the hospital and the Aden family generously supported the installation of new stained glass windows in the hospital Chapel earlier this year. “It was so touching to know that Roger’s positive experience with the BCH Foundation would spur him to nominate us for such a wonderful award,” said Sam Rennick, executive director. “We are humbled and honored.”
